Pet Policy
Effective as of July 28, 2006

The rules and regulations governing pets attempt to balance the rights of pet owners and nonpet owners while maintaining the appearance of the common areas.

Examples of allowable pets are dogs, cats, fish or birds. No exotic pets are allowed on MidCity Lofts’ premises. Homeowners who are interested in having an exotic pet must first seek Board approval.

A pet may not be kept or bred for commercial purposes on MidCity Lofts’ premises.

No pets that endanger health or safety, or unreasonably disturb other homeowners, may be kept on the property.

Pets must enter and exit the building through the G2, West Peachtree Door.

Pets in the common areas and limited common areas must be held and/or leashed and under the physical control of a person at all times.

Homeowners will be held responsible for any damage caused by the pet to the common or limited common areas.

Pet owners must clean up, remove and appropriately dispose of any mess (including excrement) made by their pet in all common areas, including landscaped areas. Doggie stations are provided on Abercrombie and 6th Streets for easy disposal of waste. Fines of $100 will be imposed for any reported act of non-compliance with this policy. In addition to the $100 fine, full monetary restitution for all cleaning costs for non-compliance may be imposed.

No pet will be allowed to roam unleashed.

No pets are allowed in the main lobby or main elevators.

No pets are allowed in the fitness center, pool area, or Sky at any time.

All pets must maintain all vaccinations required by the City of Atlanta and State of Georgia. Dogs must wear a collar with the name of its owner and vaccination verification clearly printed thereon.

Owners of pets habitually disturbing other residents must remedy the problem or permanently remove the pet from MidCity Lofts. Disturbance includes barking or any behavior which adversely impacts the personal space or quality of life of another resident.

The pet owner or person charged with care of the pet retains all liability and responsibility for the behavior of the pet, including but not limited to, violent behavior, excessive noise, damage to property or any other behavior resulting in degradation of any personal or public asset.
