Noise Policy
Effective as of January 1, 2006
No owner or occupant of a unit may use or allow the use of a unit or the common areas in any manner which creates disturbing noises, including without limitation, indoor noise which can be heard beyond the unit, such as use of stereo speakers or equipment, yelling, or a barking dog, that will, in the sole discretion of the Board of Directors, interfere with the rights, comfort or convenience of other owners or occupants.
If you are disturbed by noises or nuisances committed by a neighbor, please follow the following procedure:
1. Please call the Concierge Desk. The Concierge will call the disturbing neighbor and request that the neighbor cease the disturbing noise/activity.
2. If the disturbing noise/activity persists, call the Concierge Desk again. The Concierge will again contact the neighbor and inform the neighbor that upon additional complaint, the Atlanta Police Department or Midtown Blue may be contacted.
3. If the disturbing noise continues, call the Concierge Desk, and request that the Concierge contact the Atlanta Police Department or Midtown Blue.
4. Ongoing unresolved complaints may be submitted in writing to the Board of Directors for review.
Please note that noise which interferes with a neighbor’s sleep or otherwise violates a neighbor’s right to enjoy his or her home in peace and quiet is considered “Disturbing the Peace” and is not only prohibited, but is also illegal.
In the discretion of the Board of Directors, a fine of $100 may be imposed for any act of noncompliance with the above MidCity Lofts’ Noise Policy.
