Move-In/Move-Out Policy
Notification: MidCity Lofts property management must be notified in writing a minimum of seven (7) days in advance of a move into or out of the building. A one-time $300 Move-In and Move-Out Fee check, made payable to the MidCity Lofts Condominium Association, along with a $500.00 refundable damage deposit must accompany this signed form. The MidCity Lofts’ Property Manager will schedule the use of the loading dock and freight elevator.
Hours
Move-In and Move-Out hours are as follows:
Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: No Move-In of Move-Out
Sunday: No Move-In of Move-Out
Any deviations to the Move-In or Move-Out hours must be approved in writing by the Board or the Property Manager.
Move-In or Move-Out Day
Moving company contractors must sign in and out with the concierge at the Spring Street entrance. A valid driver’s license must be left with the concierge during the time of move-in or move-out. All moving company contractors must wear adhesive name tags issued by the concierge with contractor’s name, date, homeowner’s last name and unit number. The Move-In Checklist will be completed with the homeowner and MidCity Loft Building representative before the move and at the completion of the move. Any damage to the building resulting from the move will be noted and the homeowner will be assessed the cost to repair the damage. The damage amount will be subtracted from the damage deposit. Should the damage exceed the $500.00 damage deposit, the homeowner will be billed the difference. Moving trucks must load and unload at loading dock, and may not enter the parking garage. The freight elevator must be used for all items.
Failure to comply with the above policy will result in a fine to be determined by the MCL Board of Directors. The Homeowner will be assessed for any damage in excess of the move in fee incurred during the move-in or move-out.
