10.29.08Call for nominations to the Board of DirectorsThe MidCity Lofts Nominating Committee, chaired by Mary Beth Einhorn, is pleased to call for nominations to fill the five seats on the Board of Directors of MidCity Lofts Condominium Association Inc. that will become vacant at the end of this year. Any Unit Owner not otherwise prohibited by the Association's bylaws may be nominated, and self nominations are permitted. Nominations should be made in writing and should be accompanied by a brief statement of interest or recommendation. 10.27.08Recent car break-ins at MidCity LoftsDear MidCIty Lofts owners and residents: It has come to our attention that thieves have recently been scaling the stone wall on Biltmore Place, giving them access to the parking garage and, potentially, the building as a whole. There have been several car break-ins, both in the garage and on the surrounding streets; and while no serious crimes have been reported at MidCity Lofts, we want to encourage everyone to take reasonable steps to prevent future criminal activity. 10.25.08Pool and Fitness Center Temperature MaintenancePlease be advised that the pool heater and fitness center air handling unit are currently not working properly. The causes are still unknown and will be investigated Monday; they will hopefully be working later this week. Thank you for your patience as we work on these problems!

10.24.08Abercrombie GateThe gate on Abercrombie is currently not working, and MidCity Lofts residents should use the Biltmore entrance to access the parking garage. 5th Street has been made aware that the gate is not functioning properly, and have called technicians who should be working on the gate this evening. We apologize for the continuing inconvenience this is causing everyone, and hope that management will have the gate fixed as soon as possible.

10.24.08Traffic Alert: 16th Street to Partially Close October 29On Wednesday, October 29, the Georgia Department of Transportation will close the westbound lane of 16th Street between Spring Street and Williams Street for up to a year. This means that motorists will not be able to access I-75 northbound via 16th Street. This closure will allow GDOT to safely construct the new northbound elevated ramp to 17th Street - a major part of the ongoing 14th Street Bridge Improvement Project. Detour signs will direct motorists to 14th Street and then to Williams Street where they can access I-75 northbound. Motorists on Williams Street will still be able to travel ...
